Job Description


  • Provide construction management governance by leading and directing the site team to meet construction milestones on HSSE, project cost, schedule, and quality targets.
  • Serve as the prime contact for site client relations, acting as the main point of contact with the client.
  • Monitor daily activities through weekly, monthly, and quarterly progress meetings with staff, subcontractors, partners, and clients. Address slippages and backlogs, formulating action plans to keep the project on schedule.
  • Maintain a smooth and ongoing relationship with the client’s senior management, ensuring positive relations with clients, partners, subcontractors, and local authorities to benefit the company’s interests and future business.
  • Manage and adhere to all contractual and legal issues related to the main contract with the client and subcontractor contracts. Review and manage changes, ensuring the issuance of change orders.
  • Establish and implement manuals, policies, guidelines, method statements, and procedures covering construction management and execution. Ensure the implementation of all systems and software on-site, providing training for operators (Site Automation).
  • Emphasize safe construction practices and maintain high construction quality. Lead by example in driving safe practices on-site to ensure strict adherence to the HSSE policy by company and subcontractor staff. Establish an HSE incentive/motivation policy for the project.
  • Promote quality awareness throughout the project and organization. Ensure that all Project QC Manuals/Procedures are updated and implemented across project phases. Oversee the development of a QC monitoring system and ensure its implementation.
  • Coordinate, review, and approve the project’s construction schedule, ensuring an effective monitoring and reporting system is in place.
  • Establish a proactive mobilization/demobilization plan for construction resources and other facilities. Develop plans and chart career paths for the project team, recommending any necessary training programs.
  • Review and approve monthly progress reports. Monitor project deliverables such as progress and cost, ensuring that corrective actions are agreed upon and implemented by relevant staff.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, generating and updating a Construction Risk Register. Cooperate with internal project audits as required.
  • Oversee the development of the project closeout report from various project phases, review and summarize reports with an executive summary, and ensure all lessons learned are documented and circulated within the organization.
  • Coordinate activities of project team members, drafting, fabrication, field erection, and suppliers/vendors to ensure the project remains under control at all times.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Education:
    • BS/MS in Engineering or Construction Management.
    • Equivalent experience in any engineering or construction management curriculum.
  • Global Experience:
    • 12 to 20 years of experience in construction engineering and management.
  • Specific Experience:
    • Over 12 years of strong experience in industrial or petrochemical construction engineering and management.
    • A minimum of 10 years of leadership and management experience is required.
    • Extensive experience in the water field, construction field, and working on different types of projects is essential.
