Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with approved drawings, fabrication procedures, and methodologies by monitoring Welding/NDT activities carried out by SURF Contractor and/or Subcontractors.
  • Ensure qualified welders and welding operators work according to approved welding procedures during Welding/NDT activities.
  • Organize and participate in routine and random inspections, installation meetings, and QA/QC tours.
  • Provide assistance to the Offshore CPY Site Representative and demonstrate exemplary behavior with regard to HSE rules & requirements.
  • Monitor implementation of approved procedures, surveillance plans, and inspection/test plans onboard vessel.
  • Review material certificates and ensure documentation is up to date.
  • Report anomalies or non-conformities immediately to Offshore CPY Site Representative.
  • Interface with SURF Contractor’s QA/QC authority on QA/QC issues and Company requirements.
  • Participate in HSE or QA/QC specific audits or visits and provide regular inspection & activity reports.
  • Ensure tracking of anomalies and non-conformities performed by the SURF Contractor and follow-up on corrective activities.
  • Assist Offshore CPY Site Representative as required and enforce decisions/directions taken at SURF Management level.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Professional Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience, with more than 5 years in project supervision related to SURF welding/NDT activities.
  • Education: Engineer or equivalent degree.
  • Certification: UT Level II certification and CSWIP or equivalent welding inspector certification.
  • Language: Proficiency in English.
  • HSE: BOSIET, HUET certification required.
