Job Description

Responsibilities :
  • Provide support to Corrosion and Metallographic labs to investigate metallurgy/materials/corrosion engineering issues in manufacturing and contract manufacturing facilities.
  • Ensure the integrity of the company’s installation pipeline and gathering systems, meeting quality assurance and control standards and specifications.
  • Set up Project Quality Plan and promote, advise, and facilitate all QA/QC matters in the company’s Development Project to ensure full compliance with engineering specifications, and local and international codes & standards.
  • Serve as a focal point for Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) matters and interface with Government authorities (AST-ARH-DGM-DMI-DDE-ONML).
  • Manage factory and site inspections, coordinating with buyers, third parties, and end users from different departments.
  • Develop, implement, audit, and monitor Project Quality Plan and QA/QC programs for the company’s Development Project.
  • Participate in audits and reviews of inspection processes and procedures.
  • Ensure plant and facility construction adheres to project specifications, design documents, Algerian laws, codes & standards, and accepted work practices.
  • Develop and review technical specifications and procedures relating to materials and corrosion.
  • Support and update plant corrosion/damage mechanism reviews and participate in HAZOP review sessions.
  • Provide technical assistance in matters of cathodic protection, protective coatings, material selection, corrosion inhibitors & biocides, corrosion data management, construction techniques, and testing procedures.
  • Establish and implement an effective quality management system to support project activities.
  • Set up and develop Project QA/QC Procedures, ITP, and quality management systems.
  • Monitor and ensure Contractor QA/QC performance, inspection, and test plans, and all QA/QC activities during onshore construction T&I activities.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and corrective actions.
  • Provide QA/QC improvement guidelines to CSR and contractors as necessary.
  • Prepare comprehensive quality reports for project management.
Candidate Requirements :
  • Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy/Corrosion Engineering or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Minimum of 12 years of relevant QA/QC experience, with at least 7 years in major oil & gas construction onshore projects.
  • Experience in developing quality management systems, quality assurance, and work processes in large-scale construction projects.
  • Familiarity with industry codes and standards (e.g., API, ASME).
  • Certification by CSWIP 3.2 or AWS for Welding inspection.
  • Certification by CSWIP or PCN Level 2 for RT.
  • Certification by ASNT Level 2 for MT and PT.
  • Certification by NACE or equivalent for Painting Inspector.
  • Strong knowledge of fabrication, welding, NDE techniques (RT, UT, MT & PT), and protective coating techniques.
  • Familiarity with applicable local and international codes and standards for the oil and gas industry.
  • Experience with Algerian EPC projects or operations is a plus.
  • Excellent judgment in problem-solving and method selection for solutions.
  • High level of interpersonal skills and integrity.
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external parties.
  • Fluent in English and French (listening, reading, speaking, writing).
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work under pressure and in remote environments.
  • Flexible, diligent, and productive with a positive attitude and team spirit.
