Job Description


  • Design, develop, and coordinate cultural change programs aimed at enhancing Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) systems and processes.
  • Develop change programs for key HSE systems, including leadership, frontline HSE leadership, intervention and behavioral safety, permit to work, risk assessment, journey management planning, HACCP, competence assurance, logistics, road safety, and inspections.
  • Develop implementation programs for each HSE system, including work instructions, checklists, KPIs, metrics, and dashboards.
  • Facilitate the adoption of HSE culture enhancement programs to advance organizational safety culture.
  • Develop training materials and communication strategies for HSE programs, including on-the-job training, computer-based training (CBT), and communication materials.
  • Coach and support implementation task forces and frontline HSE personnel in applying HSE programs.
  • Support line management in monitoring and improving HSE systems, including process safety fundamentals and waste stream management.
  • Coach HSE engineers to upgrade procedures and ensure their effective implementation.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of operational experience in the Oil & Gas Industry, with at least 3 years in HSE supervision activities.
  • Bachelor’s degree or above, or demonstrable ability to think on conceptual and practical levels.
  • Fluency in English is required, with a working knowledge of French preferred, and some Arabic is a plus.
  • Preferably experience in joint venture environments, particularly in the MENA region.
  • Proven agility and adaptability in changing situations, with a flexible mindset and a focus on delivery.
  • Ownership and accountability for results, with the ability to navigate ambiguous environments.
  • Effective collaboration in a matrix structure, with the willingness to share knowledge and embrace diverse opinions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to creatively address challenges.
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to manage relationships with stakeholders effectively.
  • Motivated, tenacious, and capable of carrying out long-term objectives.

Working Conditions:

Remote location with a 28/28 shift schedule.
