Job Description

Responsibilities:

HSE Responsibilities:

  • Show a positive and proactive commitment to HSE by ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations and rules among staff.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory HSE regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Apply HSE policies and management system requirements effectively.
  • Support and participate in emergency exercises as required by HSE.

Tasks of the Geophysicist Engineer:

  • Evaluate geophysical contracts and monitor their implementation.
  • Provide support for seismic acquisition and processing activities.
  • Conduct 2D and 3D seismic interpretation.
  • Perform seismic calibration of existing wells.
  • Develop time and depth maps for all objectives.
  • Contribute to the evaluation and ranking of prospects and assets.
  • Stay updated on new seismic acquisition and processing technologies.
  • Prepare technical documents required for TAR (Technical Assurance Review), including presentations, technical reports, and technical sheets.
  • Provide technical input for well proposals, post-drilling analysis, and preparation of POD (Plan of Development).

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geophysics or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in geophysical engineering.
  • Proficiency in seismic acquisition, processing, and interpretation.
  • Familiarity with evaluating prospects and assets, as well as ranking prospects.
  • Knowledge of TAR processes and technical document preparation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to safety and compliance with HSE regulations.
  • Familiarity with new seismic technologies is a plus.
