Job Description


  • Coordinate with operations planner and budgeting team to develop the annual Work Program & Budget (WPB) for operations and logistics activities.
  • Monitor and manage the budget and spending, reporting monthly, quarterly, and annual statistics for comparative cost analysis for effective operations and logistics costs.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and the company Finance department on invoice processing in close cooperation with the operations planner.
  • Review and process invoices to confirm services received and/or goods receipt for internal approval, ensuring compliance with regulations and contract obligations.
  • Track invoices and control costs/budget for operations and logistics activities.
  • Forecast the cost to complete and cost at completion against the approved budget.
  • Analyze, identify, and investigate any discrepancies or unusual expenditure.
  • Design and create network/structure data in the SAP system for operations and logistics activities.
  • Coordinate with operations and logistics team to prepare Approval for Expenditures (AFE) and ensure correctness and compliance with the approved WPB.
  • Create Purchase Requisitions (PR) and Purchase Orders (PO), ensuring compliance with WBS cost coding, budget, etc.
  • Keep updated on the progress of ongoing operations and logistics activities, performing accruals for the service received in close cooperation with the company Finance team before month-end closing.
  • Participate in audits and provide necessary documents, if required.
  • Handle any other work assignments as needed.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Degree in accounting or equivalent.
  • Cost control experience in oil & gas operations.
  • Experience with SAP software and systems.
  • Good command of written and spoken English and French.
  • Familiarity with oil & gas operations requirements and procedures in Algeria is an advantage.
