Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The Procurement Expeditor works closely with the Area Lead, Procurement, and Project Team(s). The ideal candidate should have procurement knowledge and can interact with key members of the internal and external teams.

Specifically, the Procurement Expeditor handles material management for various programs including, obtaining quotes, ordering/tracking material, creating/submitting purchase requisitions, preparing various reports as needed, etc. The individual will also work with the Project Engineer(s) to ensure material obligations for project schedules are met.

Decision-making skills, the ability to work in a team environment, take initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to exercise good judgment are required to successfully handle these responsibilities. The individual should be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, have a client service attitude, as well as strong organization, communication, and document coordination skills.

Required Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management (emphasis in Procurement), Business or a related field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to lead problem resolution sessions with internal customers and suppliers
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, and Excel is required
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong communication and writing skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work with all levels of an organization; ability to work as a member of a team
