Job Description

The Project Engineering Manager:
• Is accountable of the design and execution of his projects – mainly in infrastructure/building revamping or construction
• Coordinate a team of technical specialist and/or from an engineering company during projects design & execution
• Have a broad knowledge of the infrastructure/building but also have a larger understanding of all related disciplines to challenge/review globally and identify potential issues
• Discusses with management, business clients, engineering companies and technical team
• Is accountable for alignment with global standards – technical, green, safety, GMP, …
The Project Engineering Manager has strong technical skills, a proven leadership and the ability to deal with complexity.
The Project Engineering Manager ensures projects are successful by taking full responsibility for: • Partnering with engineering firms to ensure proper support in delivering the project designs & execution. • Working with our Business Partner to define the best solution to meet customer needs • Managing cost estimates and planning for all engineering activities • Coordinating the Basic / Detailed design and execution • Ensuring technical resources identified without gaps nor overlap • Defining the technical resources needed to ensure good execution of projects • Overseeing the project team supervision • Consolidating and reviewing specifications (e.g. URS, Technical Specifications) • Ensuring strong communication with stakeholders • Supporting the communication structures for full collaboration between all parties involved in engineering projects to ensure two-way communication, engagement and collaboration • Managing project engineering package of medium to high complexity
• Minimum 5 to 10 years of engineering experience in investment projects in the infrastructure/building field
• In-depth technical experience in a highly regulated environment
