About The Role:
Card Operations Managers are responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of card programs within an organization. They play a vital role in ensuring that card transactions run smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and administer the organization’s card programs, including issuing, activation, deactivation, and maintenance of cards. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies
- Supervise and provide guidance to a team of card operations staff, including training, performance evaluation, and workload distribution. Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork
- Identify opportunities to streamline card operations processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs. Implement improvements to optimize workflow and enhance customer experience.
- Assess and mitigate risks associated with card operations, including fraud prevention, data security, and regulatory compliance. Develop and implement control measures to safeguard customer information and prevent unauthorized card usage
- Generate regular reports on card operations performance, including card usage, transaction trends, and customer satisfaction. Analyze data to identify patterns, insights, and areas for improvement.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as finance, IT, marketing, and legal, to coordinate card program initiatives, product launches, system enhancements, and regulatory changes.
- Provide expert guidance and recommendations to improve the overall accounting operations related to card products.
- Work independently to deliver high-quality results within project timelines.
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field (CPA qualification is a plus).
- Proven experience in accounting and accounting consulting,
- Mid level experience preferably in the banking or financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of card products and their mapping to accounting general ledgers.
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
- Previous experience in card operations or related roles
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on process optimization.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
