Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and implement the company’s H3SE policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Assist Project Execution Managers in ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and statutory requirements by all project contractors.
  • Identify potential hazards and recommend solutions at all project stages.
  • Qualify new contractors from an HSE perspective and review contractors’ HSE performance after each project.
  • Ensure inclusion of HSE analysis phases in the CDGRP and CORISK Meetings during the pre-development phase for top management approval.
  • Review HSE Plans, Procedures, Method Statements, Risk assessments, and all related documentation to ensure compliance with Group and local requirements.
  • Compile and report REN Project HSE KPIs jointly with Country representatives and identified HSE Focal points.
  • Provide training and coaching to Site HSE personnel and conduct on-the-job training.
  • Assist Project Execution Managers in implementing improvement and prohibition notices to contractors, and establish recommendations and corrective actions (including close-out monitoring).
  • Lead accidents and incidents investigations.
  • Ensure proper availability and working condition of safety equipment.

Candidate Requirements:

  • 8 to 10 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in HSE and/or project management.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in construction safety, preferably with EPC contractors in the Renewables industry.
  • Expertise in implementing sustainable actions to improve HSE.
  • Experience in the power sector and expertise in Electricity risks.
  • H3SE Audit certification and Lead Auditor on ISO 45001 or OSHAS 18001 or ISO 14001 or other recognized HSE standard required.
  • Experience leading several H3SE audits and operational expertise in H3SE required.
  • Demonstrated precision and a zero-compromise approach to HSE and technical excellence.
  • Expertise in managing high-level contacts.
  • Fluency in French and English.
