Job Description

Responsibilities :

Sub-contractor Selection and Validation:

  • Lead the selection and validation process for sub-contractors for civil works.
  • Evaluate sub-contractor bids for technical, financial, and legal compliance.
  • Conduct comprehensive due diligence on potential sub-contractors.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with chosen sub-contractors.

Project Planning and Coordination:

  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for civil works.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders, including engineers, project managers, and local authorities.
  • Ensure civil works align with overall project goals and timelines.

Execution Oversight (Phase 2 Only):

  • Supervise and monitor civil works execution to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with project specifications.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to assess progress and resolve any issues.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders, including local communities, government agencies, and project teams.
  • Address and resolve disputes or challenges related to civil works.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management and project stakeholders.

Quality Assurance and Control:

  • Implement and oversee quality control measures for civil works.
  • Manage corrective actions to address deficiencies or non-compliance.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with civil works.
  • Develop and implement contingency plans to address potential issues.

Exigences du Candidat :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil works for large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience in managing sub-contractors and large teams.
  • Strong knowledge of local regulations and construction standards in Nigeria.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently and work in various locations across Nigeria.
  • Experience with high voltage substations or electrical infrastructure projects.
  • Certification in project management (PMP or equivalent).
