Commissioning Manager

Job Description

The Commissioning Manager is in charge of: ✓ Managing the preparation, technical definition, organization and implementation of the commissioning and transfer to Operations activities, including all required specifications, plans, programs, procedures, etc; ✓ Providing overall direction in the planning, organising, management and control of commissioning activities; ✓ Participating to the development and implementation of the H3SE culture among the Project; ✓ Maintaining open relationships with, and early involvement of, Construction group and Operations personnel to ensure smooth and timely handover of facilities to Operations, as per project specifications; ✓ Defining the appropriate organization and identifying and managing the Commissioning group; ✓ Supporting the planning team and Contractors in scheduling, organizing and reporting commissioning activities in order to meet project schedule, identify slippages and implement required solutions; ✓ Analizing the performance of the preparation and execution of commissioning activities and identify possible optimizations and their related implementation, as per Project requirements and objectives; ✓ Supporting the Project Manager in organization, management and control of Commissioning, Qualifications / Experience required Engineering Degree with 15 years’ experience in major oil&gas onshore projects, with at least 10 years’ experience in multi-discipline Commissioning management positions for a major Operator and one experience as Commissioning Manager in a 1B$+ project. Knowledge of the Completion and Handover process of major oil&gas Operators is required. Language: Fluent English (working language), Arabic would be a plus. Location: based in Tripoli, with ability to relocate to any required Project locations (Contractors’ offices and Site). • Strong skills in Management, Organization and Coordination, • Good communication skills (verbal and written) and negotiation skills, • Result-driven, with analytical approach and an aptitude for taking initiatives and making decisions, • Competency in multi-disciplinary commissioning management with in-depth understanding of the project objectives in order to make the relevant technical arbitration, • Methodic, organized and pro-active, with ability to support Field Operations group in organization, preparation and performance of Start-Up, • Ability to work in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams, • Proven track record of result deliveries in challenging project environments.
